Southern France watercolour painting 'Sunflowers in full bloom' by Rebecca Cch Art

Besides the Lavender flowers, I saw fields of Sunflowers. I took some close up pictures of the sunflowers and got to work immediately! I admit that painting sunflowers was a nerve wrecking experience for me because sunflowers look deceptively easy to paint! I did not want my sunflowers to look amateurish so I really broke down the colours and shapes before I started to paint. I also added some fine details to each flower. I wanted this painting to be about the sunflowers in their full bloom; Pretty, perfect, and detailed!
